How To Create Shipping Label On PayPal

To create a shipping label on PayPal, open the Activity tab, find the payment for the order you are shipping, and select Print shipping label. Choose USPS or UPS as the carrier, confirm the package and address details, pay for the label, and print it. PayPal pulls the buyer's address straight from the transaction, so you do not retype it.

Create a label from a transaction

This is the standard path when a customer has already paid you through PayPal. Log in, open Activity, and click the order to expand it. Select Print shipping label, pick USPS or UPS, and review the shipping details PayPal filled in. Confirm everything is correct, pay with your PayPal balance or a card, then click Print label and affix it to the parcel. The buyer gets tracking once the carrier scans it.

Create a label without an invoice

You can also print a label when there is no PayPal transaction to tie it to, like an order you took somewhere else. Use PayPal's standalone shipping tool, enter the recipient's address and the package weight and dimensions yourself, choose the carrier and service, pay, and print. It is the same label, you are just supplying the details PayPal would normally pull from a payment.

Why sellers use it

PayPal shipping labels save a trip to the post office and often price below counter rates, which is why smaller sellers lean on them. The tradeoff is that you are still doing it order by order. Print, pack, label, repeat.

When label-printing becomes the bottleneck

Printing labels one at a time works until you are shipping dozens of orders a day. At that point a 3PL takes the whole job off your desk: it connects to your store, batches the orders, buys the postage, prints the labels, and hands the packages to the carrier. Simpl Fulfillment picks, packs, and ships your orders same-day, with postage and packaging included. Pricing starts at $7 per order.
