Built for ecommerce label work

A barcode generator should make printer-ready labels, not just a tiny image. This tool handles single thermal labels, larger 4 x 6 pages, and Avery 5160 sheets.

Warehouse-friendly barcode types

Use Code 128 for most SKUs and FNSKUs, or switch to Code 39, UPC, EAN-13, and ITF-14 when needed.

Batch label PDFs

Paste one value per line and download a PDF with one printable label per barcode value.

Avery and thermal layouts

Choose 2.25 x 1.25, 3 x 1, 4 x 6, or Avery 5160 output depending on the printer or sheet you have.

Private by default

Barcodes render in your browser tab, so your SKUs and FNSKUs never get uploaded. Export to PDF, PNG, or SVG when you’re done.

How to make a barcode

Three steps, about a minute, no account. Enter your values, pick the format, and download print-ready labels.

  1. Step 1

    Enter your values

Type or paste one SKU, FNSKU, UPC, or product ID per line. Do one label or a whole batch — the tool builds a barcode for each line.

  2. Step 2

    Pick the type and size

Choose Code 128 for most SKUs and FNSKUs, or switch to UPC-A, EAN-13, Code 39, or ITF-14. Then set a thermal label size or an Avery 5160 sheet.

  3. Step 3

    Download print-ready labels

Export a PDF, PNG, or SVG sized for your printer. It all renders in your browser, so your values never get uploaded.

Barcode maker FAQs

Is the barcode maker free?
Yes — it's completely free, with no Simpl account or sign-up, and no watermark on your labels. Make as many barcodes as you need.
Are my barcode values uploaded?
No. The barcodes are rendered entirely inside your browser tab, so the SKUs, FNSKUs, and other values you enter never reach Simpl's servers — or anyone else's.
Which barcode types are supported?
Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, UPC-A, and ITF-14. Code 128 is the right default for warehouse SKUs and Amazon FNSKUs; use UPC-A or EAN-13 for retail products, and ITF-14 for shipping cartons and cases.
What's the difference between a SKU barcode and an Amazon FNSKU?
A SKU is your own internal product code; an FNSKU is the X00-prefixed code Amazon assigns to each product in FBA. Both encode cleanly as Code 128, so you can generate either one here — just paste the value Amazon or your system gives you.
Can I make multiple barcode labels at once?
Yes. Paste one value per line and download a single PDF with one barcode per label, or pack them onto Avery 5160 sheets to print 30 to a page on a regular printer.
Can Simpl print and apply labels for me?
Yes. Simpl handles ecommerce fulfillment, barcode labeling, receiving, storage, shipping, and Amazon FBA prep from our warehouse in Austin, TX — so labeling stops being something you do by hand.
