How fast can I switch my 3PL to Simpl?

Onboarding at Simpl Fulfillment takes 5–7 days, and receiving takes 1–3 days once your inventory reaches our Austin warehouse. Account setup runs while your stock is in transit: we connect your store and build your account, but receiving can't start until the cartons arrive. The overall switch date usually depends on the other side: your current 3PL's notice period, how quickly it releases and ships your inventory, and freight time to Austin.

What you control

• Notice. Check your current contract for the notice period, the inventory-release and removal terms, and how you get your order and SKU data out. That's often the longest item on the list, and the one we can't shorten.
• Data. Export your SKU list, product weights and dimensions, and open orders as soon as you decide, so your Simpl account is built while the notice period runs.
• Inventory. Ship labelled stock: one SKU per carton, a barcode on each unit, and an inbound notice sent ahead of arrival. Clean inbounds are received inside the 1–3 day window, and receiving is free when the shipment meets our requirements. There's no onboarding fee.

Switching without a shipping gap

Plan one cutover date with your account manager instead of running two warehouses. Stock on a truck to Austin or sitting in receiving can't ship from either warehouse, so a switch with no gap depends on your current 3PL holding enough stock to keep shipping for the freight time plus our 1–3 day receiving window. If it releases everything in one shipment, expect a pause of about that long. After receiving, your store's orders route to us, and anything in by 12pm CT ships the same day. Once you're on our services, Simpl is your exclusive fulfillment provider, so the overlap is a planned handover, not a long-term split. Avoid changing over in the weeks right before a big sale if you can.
