Walmart Marketplace integration

Walmart Marketplace fulfillment built around Walmart's seller standards.

A 1-2 click Seller Center connection, carrier-validated tracking pushed back inside the dispatch window, and the metrics support to keep Order Defect Rate, On-Time Delivery, Valid Tracking Rate, and Cancellation Rate where Walmart wants them.

Yes, Simpl ships Walmart Marketplace orders.

Simpl Fulfillment is a 3PL for Walmart Marketplace sellers. Authorize Simpl inside Seller Center in a few clicks, no developer required. Orders flow into our Austin warehouse, pick and pack runs to your stated lag time, labels print on Walmart-validated carriers, and tracking pushes back inside the dispatch window to support your scorecard on Order Defect Rate, On-Time Delivery, Valid Tracking Rate, and Cancellation Rate. One inventory pool ships Walmart alongside Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and eBay. Every Simpl client gets a dedicated account manager reachable by email with same-day responses. Pricing starts at $7/order; we ship for brands doing 50 to 5,000+ orders per month.

How it works

How the Walmart Marketplace integration works

STEP 01

Connect Seller Center

Authorize Simpl in your Walmart Seller Center in a few clicks. No developer, no middleware, no CSV uploads. Orders, inventory, and tracking sync between Walmart and Simpl.

STEP 02

Orders sync within minutes

Every Walmart Marketplace order lands in Simpl within minutes of buyer checkout. Line items, ship-to address, lag time, and Expected Delivery Date flow with the order. Cancellations and refunds initiated in Seller Center auto-propagate to the warehouse before pick.

STEP 03

Pick, pack, and ship on a Walmart-validated carrier

Same-day handling aligned to your stated lag time. Barcode-validated picks catch mis-picks at the pack station before the label prints. Labels print on carriers Walmart validates against Seller Center scan history, so Valid Tracking Rate calculates correctly on every shipment.

STEP 04

Tracking and delivery confirmation push back to Seller Center

Tracking number, carrier, and dispatch timestamp post to Seller Center the moment a label prints. Walmart's On-Time Delivery and Valid Tracking Rate metrics calculate against that data, so pushing it back fast and clean is what keeps you above the thresholds.

The decision sellers face

Protecting the four Walmart metrics that decide your account health

Walmart grades every Marketplace seller against a small number of published thresholds. Miss them and listings lose Buy Box eligibility, the Pro Seller badge disappears, and repeated misses can suppress or suspend the account. Three of the four most fulfillment-sensitive metrics are operational. Simpl is built to operate inside the bars.

≥ 95%On-Time Delivery Rate

Same-day handling aligned to your stated lag time, with cutoffs tuned to your shipping zones so the Expected Delivery Date Walmart promises the buyer is met on the ground. Tracking and dispatch confirmation push back to Seller Center the moment a label prints, which is the data Walmart actually scores On-Time Delivery against.

≥ 99%Valid Tracking Rate

Labels print on carriers Walmart validates against Seller Center scan history. Using an off-validated carrier silently breaks this metric even when the package arrives on time. We only ship on carriers Walmart validates against scan history, which is how the 99% bar holds across thousands of shipments.

≤ 2% (≤ 1.5% for Pro Seller)Cancellation Rate

Real-time inventory write-back to Seller Center after every receive, pick, adjustment, and return prevents the oversells that drive most seller-initiated cancellations. Configurable buffer stock per SKU reserves units you cannot afford to oversell during a flash sale or a Walmart Connect ad push.

≤ 2%Order Defect Rate

Barcode-validated pick accuracy across receive, pick, and pack drives a near-zero mis-pick rate. Returns are received, graded, and refunded promptly so the buyer disputes that escalate into defects rarely fire. ODR is the metric that compounds quietly until an account is on a warning, and pick accuracy is the single biggest lever a 3PL controls.

Why Simpl

Why Walmart Marketplace sellers choose Simpl

1-2 CLICKS

Seller Center connection without a developer.

Authorize Simpl inside Seller Center in a few clicks. No middleware, no CSV uploads, no engineering ticket. Most sellers go from contract signature to live orders in days, not weeks, because the integration step is genuinely a click and not a six-week SI engagement.

ONE STOCK POOL

Walmart Marketplace alongside Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and eBay.

WFS silos your stock inside Walmart's network. Simpl pools one inventory across every channel you sell on. A unit ships to whichever channel sells it first, which keeps Walmart in stock without double-buying inventory or stranding units in a marketplace-specific fulfillment center.

BUILT FOR PRO SELLER

Operating inside the bars the Pro Seller badge requires.

Pro Seller is graded against six metrics, four of which are fulfillment-sensitive: on-time delivery, cancellation rate, shipping speed, and responsiveness on the order side. Simpl operates inside each one by default, so the badge shows up on listings instead of disappearing on the next refresh cycle.

YOUR BOX, NOT WALMART'S

Branded packaging, inserts, and kitting on every Walmart order.

WFS ships Walmart-branded fulfillment, which is fine for commodity SKUs and brutal for a brand trying to build an off-Walmart relationship with the buyer. Simpl ships Walmart Marketplace orders in your packaging, with your inserts, with the same custom kitting we run on your DTC orders.

Quote-based pricing built around your real SKU mix.

Three components: storage by warehouse storage type (bin, shelf, or pallet) with no peak-season clock, pick and pack by the order with component-count rules, and outbound at carrier rates with rate-shopping among Walmart-validated carriers. No per-channel surcharge for adding Walmart Marketplace alongside Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, or eBay, and no separate integration fee.

FAQ

Walmart Marketplace fulfillment FAQ

How does Simpl connect to Walmart Marketplace?
You authorize Simpl inside Walmart Seller Center in a few clicks. Orders, inventory, tracking, and returns sync between Walmart and Simpl. There is no middleware, no CSV uploads, and no developer work. If you can authorize a partner inside Seller Center, you can connect Simpl.
Will Simpl meet Walmart's seller performance standards?
Yes. The four most fulfillment-sensitive metrics are On-Time Delivery (≥ 95%), Valid Tracking Rate (≥ 99%), Cancellation Rate (≤ 2%), and Order Defect Rate (≤ 2%). Simpl operates inside each bar through same-day handling aligned to your lag time, Walmart-validated carrier selection, real-time inventory write-back to prevent oversells, and barcode-validated pick accuracy to drive mis-picks toward zero.
How is Simpl different from Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS)?
WFS is Walmart's in-house fulfillment program, the Marketplace equivalent of FBA on Amazon. It earns the Fulfilled by Walmart tag and a 2-Day Delivery badge on listings, but it ships only Walmart Marketplace orders, locks inventory inside Walmart's network, ships in Walmart-branded packaging, and starts at $3.45 per unit on its published rate card with storage fees on top. Simpl pools one inventory across Walmart, Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and eBay, ships in your branded packaging with your inserts, includes inbound returns receive and inspection as standard, and prices against your real SKU mix and channel split. For multi-channel sellers, the math usually favors a single pool at Simpl over splitting stock between WFS and a separate DTC 3PL.
Can we run Simpl and WFS at the same time?
Technically yes. Walmart permits multiple fulfillment configurations, so some sellers keep fast-moving SKUs on WFS for the 2-Day Delivery tag while running everything else through Simpl, or run both in parallel during a transition. In practice, splitting inventory across two warehouses costs more in carrying stock, lost pooling, and operational overhead than most sellers save on WFS's per-unit fee. Get a quote before going dual-track so we can model the real economics against your channel mix.
Will my listings still qualify for fast delivery tags without WFS?
Yes, through the Walmart TwoDay Delivery program for seller-fulfilled orders. Sellers qualify by maintaining the seller-performance bars Walmart requires (most importantly On-Time Delivery and Valid Tracking Rate) and by being on the platform for at least 90 days or by fulfilling at least 20 orders that meet the program's metrics over a recent 30-day window. Simpl's handling SLA and Walmart-validated carrier selection are written to keep those metrics inside the qualifying band so eligible offers display the 2-Day Delivery tag without using WFS.
How does Simpl support the Walmart Pro Seller metrics?
Pro Seller is graded against six Walmart-managed metrics: on-time delivery (≥ 95%), cancellation rate (≤ 1.5%), seller responsiveness (≥ 95%), shipping speed score (≥ 50%), content quality score (≥ 75%), and price competitiveness score (≥ 75%). Four are partly or wholly affected by fulfillment, and that is where Simpl works: same-day handling for on-time delivery, real-time inventory write-back to keep cancellation rate down, and Walmart-validated carrier selection. Content quality, price competitiveness, and seller responsiveness sit with you as the seller. The badge itself is awarded and held by Walmart against your full metric set.
What carriers does Simpl use, and are they all Walmart-validated?
USPS, UPS, and FedEx for the bulk of US volume, all of which Walmart validates against Seller Center scan history. Simpl rate-shops among validated carriers per order to land the best mix of speed and cost for the shipping zone. We will not print on a non-validated carrier by default, which is what protects the 99% Valid Tracking Rate threshold across thousands of shipments.
How does Simpl handle Walmart returns?
Returns initiated in Seller Center auto-trigger Simpl's inbound receive workflow. Items are graded against your return policy on arrival: resellable units route back to sellable inventory within days, damaged or used items route to your disposition rules, and refund status pushes back to Seller Center so the buyer's refund clock starts on time. Prompt grading is what keeps the buyer disputes that drive Order Defect Rate off your dashboard.
Can we sell on Walmart, Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and eBay from one inventory pool?
Yes. One unit at Simpl can ship to whichever channel sells it first, with stock pushed back to each channel so you do not oversell. That is the single biggest economic argument against WFS for multi-channel sellers: WFS-pooled stock cannot ship a Shopify or TikTok Shop order, so you end up double-buying across two networks to cover the same demand.
How fast can we onboard for Walmart Marketplace?
Standard onboarding runs 7 to 14 days from contract signature: Seller Center authorization, SKU receiving and putaway, carrier configuration, and a dry-run test order. If you are migrating off WFS, add a few days for the WFS removal order to land at our dock and to be received in. Share your SKU count, expected daily order volume, and current WFS position and we will come back with a realistic ETA.
What does the Walmart Marketplace integration cost?
There is no separate integration fee for Walmart Marketplace. Pricing is quote-based: storage by warehouse storage type (bin, shelf, or pallet) with no peak clock, pick and pack by the order with component-count rules, and outbound at carrier rates with rate-shopping among Walmart-validated carriers. Adding Walmart Marketplace alongside Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, or eBay does not add a per-channel surcharge.
