Amazon fulfillment for sellers who outgrew FBA — or want a backup plan
FBA prep, FBM, and SFP-ready fulfillment under one roof. Direct Seller Central integration via SP-API, transparent pricing, and two-day ground delivery to most US ZIPs.
Yes, Simpl ships Amazon orders.
Simpl Fulfillment is a 3PL for Amazon sellers, and we handle both Amazon fulfillment modes from a single inventory pool: FBA prep (we receive, FNSKU-label, and inbound to Amazon) and FBM (we ship direct from your Simpl pool in your branded packaging, with SFP-ready performance positioning when Amazon reopens Prime enrollment). The integration is direct Seller Central via SP-API — orders flow through the Orders endpoint, tracking confirms via the Shipments endpoint with carrier-validated labels through Amazon-approved carriers, and FBA inbounds are created through the Fulfillment Inbound Shipment API.
How the Amazon integration works
Authorize SP-API
Connect Simpl to Seller Central with one OAuth handshake. We request only the scopes we need: Orders (read), Shipments (read/write), Reports (read), and Fulfillment Inbound Shipment (write, for FBA prep). Labels on FBM and SFP orders are generated through Amazon-approved carriers so tracking is carrier-validated end to end.
Choose your mode (or modes)
FBA prep sends inventory to Simpl, where we receive, FNSKU-label, polybag, bundle, and create the inbound shipment to Amazon. FBM routes orders to Simpl for direct ship in your packaging. SFP-ready uses Simpl's fast US ground coverage and carrier-validated tracking so you qualify the moment Amazon reopens Prime enrollment.
Pick, pack, and ship to spec
FBM and SFP orders pick inside a handling window tuned to your late-shipment-rate target. Labels are carrier-validated through Amazon-approved carriers so tracking flows back to Seller Central clean. FBA inbounds carry FNSKU, polybag, and bubble-wrap prep per current Amazon spec.
Confirm back to Seller Central
Tracking, dispatch confirmation, and shipment status flow back via the Shipments endpoint with carrier-validated tracking numbers. Carrier-validated tracking protects valid-tracking-rate; on-time dispatch protects late-shipment-rate; the result is healthy seller metrics across the board.
What syncs between Amazon and Simpl
Every order, inventory level, and return — with the direction and mechanism for each data flow.
| Direction | What syncs | Mechanism | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| in | FBM orders | SP-API Orders endpoint | Full line items, ship-to address, and Prime-eligibility flag where applicable. |
| in | Order updates and cancellations | SP-API Orders endpoint | Pre-pick cancellations and address edits propagate to the warehouse. |
| in | Settlement and shipment reports | SP-API Reports endpoint | Used to reconcile FBM tracking validation rate against Amazon's records. |
| out | FBA inbound shipments | SP-API Fulfillment Inbound Shipment | Carton manifest, FNSKU mapping, and prep status created from Simpl when inventory is ready to send to Amazon. |
| out | Tracking and dispatch confirmation | SP-API Shipments endpoint | Carrier-validated tracking from Amazon-approved carriers pushed inside the handling window so valid-tracking-rate stays healthy. |
| out | Inventory levels (FBM) | SP-API Inventory endpoint | Optional — keeps your FBM SKU availability synced with on-hand at Simpl. |
| both | Returns (FBM) | FBM returns workflow | FBM returns receive at Simpl, get graded, and route back to sellable or to disposition. FBA returns continue to flow through Amazon. |
Two ways to fulfill on Amazon
FBA isn't the only option, and for most sellers above a certain volume it isn't even the cheapest. Depending on your SKU profile, IPI score, restock limits, and Prime eligibility goals, Simpl supports both Amazon fulfillment modes from one inventory pool and one SP-API connection — FBA prep when you're inbounding to Amazon, FBM (with SFP-ready performance) for orders you ship direct.
FBA Prep
Who it's for: Sellers staying on FBA but needing prep, kitting, or overflow capacity when Amazon caps your inbound. Common when IPI dips, when restock limits tighten ahead of Q4, or when SKUs need polybagging, bundling, or expiration-date labeling before they can hit an Amazon FC.
Receive your inventory, FNSKU-label, polybag and bubble-wrap to current Amazon spec, bundle or kit, and create the FBA inbound shipment via SP-API. We can cross-dock straight through or hold inventory at Simpl based on your IPI position and Amazon's current restock limits for your account.
FBA prep services →FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant)
Who it's for: Sellers protecting Amazon seller metrics (late shipment rate, order defect rate, valid tracking rate), running multi-channel inventory across Amazon plus DTC and other marketplaces, or absorbing overflow when FBA restock limits leave them stranded.
Orders route from Seller Central to Simpl via SP-API. We ship direct in your branded packaging, print carrier-validated labels through Amazon-approved carriers where Prime-eligible, and push tracking back inside the handling window. FBM returns get received, graded, and restocked to sellable when condition allows.

Three Amazon modes under one roof
FBA prep, FBM, and SFP-ready fulfillment all run from the same inventory pool, on the same SP-API connection, with one ops team and one invoice. Most 3PLs force you to pick one mode; Simpl moves units between them as your strategy changes.
Backup plan for FBA capacity and restock limits
When Amazon throttles your inbound or your IPI score caps restock quantities, FBM via Simpl absorbs the overflow without forcing you to sit on stock or lose the Buy Box. You stay in stock on Amazon while you wait for FBA capacity to reopen.
Multi-channel inventory pool, no branded MCF boxes
MCF ships your Shopify and TikTok Shop orders in Amazon-branded boxes by default. Simpl ships every channel in your packaging, with inserts and custom kitting included, so brand experience stays consistent off Amazon.
SLAs tied to Amazon seller-metric thresholds
Late shipment rate, order defect rate, and valid tracking rate are the three numbers that decide whether your account stays healthy. Simpl's handling-window SLAs, carrier-validated label workflow through Amazon-approved carriers, and FBM returns process are written to keep all three inside Amazon's bars.
Pricing built around your real SKU mix, not FBA's fee schedule
Simpl quotes against your actual receive volume, storage footprint, pick and pack components, and outbound carrier rates. Storage is flat per cubic foot with no Q4 premium, unlike FBA's October-through-December peak rate. FBM and SFP outbound use Amazon-approved carrier rates where Prime-eligible; FBA prep is priced per unit by component count.
